What you will need:
PaintShop Pro, I used version 9, but any version should work.
Close up tube of choice, I used one of Keith Garvey's awesome new ones, called Goth Princess. Which bought from MPT, please do not use without the proper license from MPT!!
Scrap kit - Fab PTU kit Created by Jill, called Gothic Inspirations in honor of Jessica of Gothic Inspirations, which I bought from Just 4 Taggers Store.
Mask of choice, a grungy one works best For this version of my tag, I used Becky mask 22. You can find some great masks on the Creative Misfits Creations blog, that might work well. I'm sorry I forgot which mask I used
Font used was Wretched, from Dafont
Texture I used, was a pic downloaded from Texture Vault HERE.
FILTERS USED: Eye Candy 4000 - Gradient Glow Xero - Radiance Xero - Gray Scaler
Open a 600 X 500 transparent canvas, flood fill white.
Add layer, Selections - Select All, copy and paste paper of choice into selection - Select none. I used paper 08. Apply mask of choice and merge group. Add layer, Selections - Select All, copy and paste texture into selection - Select none. Apply same mask. Merge group. Lower opacity to about 92 and set blend mode to hard light.
Copy and paste frame 3, resize by 85% twice. Drop Shadow of choice, I used 2/-1/50/5.00, Adjust - Sharpeness - Sharpen.
Using magic wand click inside frame. Making sure you get all parts of the frame. Copy and paste paper of choice, I used paper 12. Selections - Invert - Hit delete on keyboard - Select none.
Copy and paste tube of choice, resize 90% twice smart size. Image - Mirror. Move to right hand side of frame. Duplicate layer. Image - Mirror. Merge layer down. Apply Xero Gray Scaler (settings below). Change blend mode to soft light. Duplicate layer. On copy lower opacity to around 42. *I find this easier on a frame like this to do the following* Highlight paper layer, Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat - Invert - highlight tube layers and hit delete on keyboard.
Highlight paper layer, Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat, highlight top tube layer, add a layer, copy and paste texture into selection. Select none. Change blend mode to overlay and lower opacity to around 44.
Copy and paste tube of choice again. Resize if needed. Duplicate layer. On original Add gaussian blur 5.00 (screenshot below). Also Apply Xero Radiance. (Settings below). On copy change blend mode to hard light. Duplicate layer, lower opacity to around 50. *I find this easier on a frame like this to do the following* Highlight paper layer, Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat - Invert - highlight tube layers and hit delete on keyboard.
Highlight paper layer, Selections - Select All - Float - Defloat, highlight top tube layer, add a layer, copy and paste texture into selection. Select none. Change blend mode to Burn and lower opacity to around 34.
Copy and paste GI-Wirebit, resize by 80%. Move to upper part of tag (See my tag for placement). Duplicate layer. Image - Flip - Image - Mirror. Merge layer down. Arrange layer to above mask layer.
Highlight top layer. Copy and paste GI-Candles, resize 65% twice. Move to lower left hand side. Drop shadow of choice, I used 1/-1/50/5.00.
Copy and paste Decorative Box, resize by 65% twice. Drop shadow, same as above. Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen. Move to lower right side of frame.
Copy and paste Wordart 4, resize by 65%. Drop shadow (same) & Sharpen.
Copy and paste bow 1, Image - Mirror. Resize 70% twice. Drop shadow. (See tag for placement)
Copy and paste metal element. Resize 70% twice. Drop shadow (1/-1/50/5.00) and sharpen. Duplicate layer, move original below bow. Carefully erase parts of ball, to make it appear if it's behind knot in bow.
Add copyright info and watermark.
I used Wretched font for name, Size 48. Foreground black, stroke 1.00/background #470202 added a fat white gradient glow.
Thank you for trying my tutorial. I hope I didn't confuse you very much. Play around with the blend settings and opacity for different looks. But most of all have fun! Below is the original tag, that I did. I'm sorry I couldn't remember the same settings.
